It’s Borderlands 3 tho. I’m more interested in CD Projeckt RED somewhat hinting ray tracing possibly being absent from their Ps5 upgrade with the XSX having the tools they are using to implement it.
Of course you won’t see major differences with Borderlands 3. But there will be differences when developers actually start to throw next generation engines at it.

Ps5 will always have a drawback. You can’t design your game around the full utilization of 10.3tf if the CPU takes a dip or vice versa unless Sony plan on doing the “dynamic” BS once again this time the dynamic is all the way down to the silicon... Aiming for max potential on either side seems like a nightmare whereas low...
Gold pay wall is almost out the door guys. Amazon and Google are the competitors here... the gold structure can’t exist in that battle.
I think it would be a masterful stroke and would give all the services they are trying to push the MUCH bigger initial push that Amazon and Google could only dream about for cloud service adoption.

Considering dev quotes were all the jazz when it came to unforeseen SSD advantages up until the reveal tossed that out the window.. you’d think they would be absolutely floored by the data out there. DXR is a clear advantage. Even amd themselves feature it in their RDNA 2 presentations.

17% more GPU is the understatement of the year touted by Sony fans around the globe. How about Higher Clocked CPU, Sustained clocks, 1024 more shaders, 44% more dedicated ray tracing, DXR for more ray traced content on the system...320bit bus... ahh and the list goes on.

This is where DXR plays a huge role. Devs have already expressed how easy it is implement on Series X.
Having a Series X Optimized Cyberpunk is already a sale for many people right now.
This July event is mysterious and the narrative of Series X games looking last generation has all but died... if you think the system won’t produce anything on par with what we saw at the “Future of Gaming” I’d have to politely ask you to take a nap.
I’m sure Hellblade and whatever the initiative have cooking will set a new bar for Xbox and our next generation expectations....

They don’t have to do much tbh. I think of what we know of so far would put on a good show but that’s the awesome thing about it.. there so much mystery behind the titles and they’re usually good about 4k60 streams so I know it will be a top notch event.
